Chapter 15

With this chapter Katniss describes the pain and hallucination's from the Tracker Jacker hornets stings. She also asks little Rue from district 11 if she wanted to be her ally. Katniss asked this for one she trusts Rue.  Rue reminds her of her little sister Prim. We can see by the way they spoke to one another why Katniss would be reminded of her sister. After Rue agreed to be partners they showed each other their little survival techniques. They both cooked a rabbit and bird together that Katniss shot with her arrows. Then after the food was cooked they sat next to the fire. While at the fire they both talked about their lives a little to each other. They both showed each other what they had for supplies. The sunglasses Katniss had in her backpack turned out to be night vision glasses and that could help her ALot. 

Do u think this relationship Rue and Katniss Is real or fake?

Chapter 17

In chapter 17 Katniss got effected by the explosion after hitting the ground. She has not been able to hear for a long period of time with her left ear witch is bleeding.When she woke up the next morning and had forgotten to look for Rues third signal fire. She also hears Rue calling for her in the woods and Katniss runs to her rescue to find her in a trap set up by the careers. So Katnisss had to get her out but a boy from district one had gotten Rue with his spear. In chapter 18 Katniss kills the boy that stabbed Rue but unfortunately Rue has died right in Katniss's hands. Katniss is very sad that Rue had died and is sort of moping around. Also Katniss finds out something new. She found out  thhat if their is two people from the same district then they can both be winners they don't have to kill each other. So chapter 19 she sets off to find Peeta and finds him wounded and completely camouflaged in mud on a river bank. So Katniss cleans him off and tries to heal his wounds. In chapter 20 Katniss finds a place for her and Peeta to live in, a cave of rocks. She has to find food and Peeta has asked her to tell him the happiest day of her life.

Chapters 5-14

ch 10-14

Chapter 10-14 was very shoking to me especially when Peeta was working with the Careers. That is probably why he told Katniss not to go for the bow. What he doesn't know though is that they are using him to find Katniss. Katniss has been having some trouble in the games on top of that too. For example the gamemakers shot fireballs at her, hitting her calf and severely injuring her which could have been really bad for the rest of the games. Thankfully she got some medicine from her sponsers, and found shelter in a tree. A lot of things happened while Katniss was up in that tree too. She came in contact with the Careers.  She also met Rue, the 12 year old little tribute, in the tree beside her.   it was very strange that Rue didn't try to kill Katniss since she had an easy oppurtunity because Katniss had no idea she was in the tree.  So why didnt she try to kill her?  It was probally the fact she  thought that she was safe from Katniss because she knew Katniss had a little sister like her. The wierd part was that Rue actually helped Katniss, because Rue pointed out a wasp nest which Katniss used to scare away the Careers and get the bow. Finally Peeta saved Katniss's life because he said to get up and  Run on chapther 14  before the other Career showed up.  What Katniss will do now that she has the bow? Do you think she is gunna keep hiding or is she going to fight? 

ch 5-9

In chapter 5 Katniss talks about her stylists. The stylists for the games that she will be in and what he planned to do for the opening ceremony outfits. Her stylists name is Cinna and he wants Katniss and Peeta in full black unitards. He also want them to wear actual flaming capes and headdresses. They did this because they wanted to represent that they were from the district that mined coal. On chapter 5 she describes the experience she has with the opening ceremonies including riding in chariots. At first the crowd was alarmed that they were on fire but then they realized that it was supposed to be like that. Then Katniss and Petta were showered with cheers and shouts of District 12. It was like their moment to really shine and Katniss even blew some kisses leaving most of the crowd reaching up to catch them. The only problem was that the other tributes were jealous of their dramatic entrance to the games. Everyone didnt want much to do with them after and wanted to focus more on their training to be sure they would beat them in the games. Then the other chapters decribe how good she is doing in the games. We can she she is talented.

So was it wise of Cinna to give Katniss and Peeta this advantage in the opening of the ceremony?

chapter 1-3

In chapter 1 Katniss describes her family who has 3 other people in the faimly. Those people consist of her sister Prim and her mom, her dad who has died in a coal mining accident. She tells us where she lives in Panem that has 12 districts and a capitol. She also tells  us that there's this holiday as the capitol calls it called reaping day. This day is when they pick the tributes, one boy and one girl from each district to compete in The Hunger Games. In this chapter they are picking the t competitor. In chapter 1 its reaping day and they are holding the ceremony for district 12, they always pick the ladies' slip first,  and Katniss has 24 slips. She has a friend named Gale who has 42, and her sister has 1 in out if the thousands. The odds of picking her sister, Prim whom everyone in the district knows and loves to be killed in the games. That thought was running through Katniss' brain and she knew she had to protect her sister so she volunteered to take her place. The boy  is Peeta Mellark, and his father is the baker. Then it talks about the rest of the ceremony and how Katniss gives her family instructions on how to feed themselves because Katniss provides food for her whole faimly so they wont have her to feed them anymore.

What would happen to Katniss' faimmly if they lose her, or how would they suply food?
